ASI Show Fort Worth Named “Best Of Show”

Show honored for listening to members and for creating sense of community and “wow” experiences

TREVOSE, PA – November 25, 2019 – The Trade Show News Network (TSNN), the world’s leading online resource for the trade show, exhibition and event industry, named ASI Show Fort Worth “Best of Show” among top trade shows across the U.S.

The win was based on judges’ evaluations and votes earned during a social media campaign. In selecting ASI Fort Worth, judges said, “ASI knocked our ‘swaggy’ socks off with their keen ability to listen to their members and create a ‘better sense of community.’ Their decision to move their show to Fort Worth from Dallas allowed them to offer a ‘total city takeover.’ This resulted in showgoers running into each other everywhere and enjoying many WOW experiences together, fostering deeper connections.”

In addition, the strategy behind the move to Fort Worth in 2019 resulted in increased attendance, up nearly 14% year over year, along with an increase in exhibitors, up nearly 12% year over year.

“On behalf of the entire team, I want to thank everyone who voted for our very first Fort Worth show, helping us earn the prestigious ‘Best of Show’ award,” said Rita Ugianskis-Fishman, senior vice president and general manager of ASI Show. “It’s always a little bit of a risk moving a popular show and I sincerely appreciate everyone’s willingness to try something new and make ASI Fort Worth such a success. We’ll deliver another great show in Texas in February and hope to see everyone again in 2020.”

The awards were announced at the 10th anniversary of the 2019 TSNN Awards in Dallas, TX, with a gala celebration at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. Other awards included fastest-growing show for net square footage, fastest-growing association and for-profit shows for attendance, sustainability award and the industry icon award. There are over 6,000 shows in the U.S. alone.

The ASI Show® launched its inaugural trade show in Fort Worth last February with a one-hour keynote with former First Lady Laura Bush and her daughter, Today Show correspondent Jenna Hager. The three-day show (#ASIFortWorth) at the Fort Worth Convention Center grew to over 4,300 attendees, with 433 exhibitors. The show attracted exhibitors and distributors from 43 states and four countries, along with 724 companies from Texas, 200 women-owned and 185 minority-owned companies. The show also delivered an economic boost to the city of Fort Worth.

Registration is now open for ASI Fort Worth, Monday, February 3-Wednesday, February 5, at the Fort Worth Convention Center, with keynote speaker Jesse Itzler. ASI’s two other large trade shows are ASI Orlando, Saturday, January 4-Monday, January 6, at the Orange County Convention Center, featuring a keynote by former Secretary of State Madeline Albright; and ASI Chicago, Tuesday, July 21-Thursday, July 23, at McCormick Place, featuring NFL legend Terry Bradshaw.
