TREVOSE, PA – May 25, 2010 – The ASI Show today announced the 16-week schedule for the 2011 ASI Advantages Roadshow, the largest and best-attended traveling show in the advertising specialty industry.
Featuring 76 local shows, the 2011 Advantages Roadshow tour is designed to bring together suppliers, distributors and decorators across the United States and Canada – visiting Birmingham, AL, for the first time and returning to Oklahoma City, OK, for a second visit.
“We are thrilled with the popularity of the Advantages Roadshow,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president of The ASI Show. “As the economy continues to show signs of improvement, it is more important than ever for suppliers to make a personal connection with prospects and clients. The Advantages Roadshow targets 130,000 industry distributor salespeople from more than 22,000 ASI distributor companies. Suppliers can easily meet hundreds of distributors each week, and that’s more than they could meet through phone calls in the same amount of time.”
“With more than 5,000 distributors attending an Advantages Roadshow so far in 2010, the Roadshow continues to deliver more attendees in one week compared to any competing traveling show,” said Nick DiNicola, general manager of the Advantages Roadshow. “Within a few hours, distributors can acquire new sales tools, discuss client challenges and needs with other ad specialty professionals and find innovative items that give them a competitive edge.“
“Additionally, suppliers have the unique opportunity to connect with clients and prospects in an intimate, one-on-one environment,” added Karen DiTomasso, vice president of sales. “In fact, we are excited to announce that there will not be a price increase in 2011, allowing suppliers to reserve space for the 2011 Advantages Roadshow at 2010 prices.”
Many of the industry’s top suppliers have chosen the Advantages Roadshow as their platform to introduce new products, and companies such as SanMar (asi/84863), Prime Resources (asi/79530), Bodek & Rhodes (asi/40788), Marathon Mfg./Prestige (asi/68707), Sweda (asi/90305) and Hit Promotional Products (asi/61125) have made the Advantages Roadshow part of their annual exhibition plan.
“My experience with the Advantages Roadshow this year has been incredible,” said Paul Bergman of Perfect Promotional Products (asi/77350). “I never thought I could touch base with so many customers in such a short amount of time. During a regular week of sales calls I will see maybe four or five customers each day, but with the Advantages Roadshows I am seeing around a hundred each day. For a company like mine, operating with a limited outside sales force, these types of shows are priceless. I hope ASI continues the program for many years to come, you can definitely count us in.”

The 2011 tour will also co-locate with the Stitches Roadshow in Atlanta, St. Louis and Denver, allowing attendees and exhibitors to experience two shows in one. Decorators will have opportunities to meet equipment, software, supply and service providers face-to-face, see new wearables vendors and network with other decorators, and distributors will have an opportunity to learn the latest embroidery trends.
