TREVOSE, PA - March 28, 2014 – The Advertising Specialty Institute® (ASI) today announced it has been honored as a “top workplace” in an employee-driven competition sponsored by Philly.com to recognize outstanding companies in the Philadelphia region.
In addition, ASI was recently named “Best Employer for New Graduates” in a contest recognizing outstanding workplace environments sponsored by Greater Philadelphia Media, publisher of the Intelligencer, the Bucks County Courier Times and the Burlington County Times newspapers.
ASI is the largest media, marketing and education organization serving the $20.5 billion promotional products industry, with a network of over 25,000 distributors and suppliers throughout North America. ASI is centrally located on a 33-acre campus between Philadelphia and New York City.
The family-owned company offers competitive benefits, an array of educational programs, an award-winning Wellness Program and diversity initiatives. In addition, ASI provides on-site day care, Starbucks and a café featuring healthy options, free fitness classes and gym reimbursement, casual dress every day and community service events.
ASI ranked number 20 among midsized companies on the 2014 list of top workplaces in an employee-driven survey conducted by WorkplaceDynamics, LLP, a leading research firm on organizational health and employee engagement. WorkplaceDynamics conducts regional top workplaces programs with 40 major publishing partners across the U.S., including Philly.com, the premier news media network in the Philadelphia market.
More than 34,000 employees were surveyed by WorkplaceDynamics to find the region’s best small, midsize and large companies from the workers’ perspective. Regional organizations with 50 or more employees – private, public, nonprofit or government – were eligible.
“ASI works hard at creating a workplace that allows employees to develop their talent to the fullest and to be rewarded for their hard work with great benefits and a fun atmosphere,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. “I’m especially proud to be employed at a company considered a top workplace by new grads, especially in today’s competitive landscape when potential employees have a lot of great companies to choose from.”
In 2013, ASI was named a “Best Places to Work – Large Company” award among companies with more than 100 employees, “Best Place for Working Moms” and “Best Employer for New Graduates.” ASI previously won “Best Places to Work” awards in 2012, 2011 and 2010.
ASI’s engaging work atmosphere is supported through fun activities, such as field days, ice cream socials, Halloween parties and an annual holiday mixer, and it recognizes outstanding professional achievements through quarterly president’s awards and an annual employee awards ceremony.
