And of course, it’s not just promo that’s feeling the pain; global supply chains across industries are in upheaval.

Despite all the challenges, Nanus did have a fundamentally positive message: The situation is manageable and promo can indeed navigate it.“Probably the greatest thing about our industry is its resourcefulness,” he says. “I don’t think anything will stop our industry from a really nice recovery.”
