Overture Promotions Opens New Headquarters

The Top 40 firm consolidated two distribution centers into one larger facility.

Overture Promotions (asi/288473), a Top 40 promotional products distributorship, said late Monday that it’s now fully operational in a new 200,000-square-foot headquarters in Waukegan, IL, about 40 miles north of Chicago.

Executives said the large space has improved efficiency, as it’s allowed for the consolidation of two distribution centers. Overture noted that the Waukegan HQ offers expanded screen-printing and embroidery operations, upgraded office space and “state-of-the-art technology” that enables the firm to better communicate with customers, its domestic network of sales offices and distribution centers, and its global partners.

“Our new home has given us the opportunity to set up the distribution center to best practices for supply chain control and workflow,” said CEO/Owner Jo Gilley. “It gives us room to continue to scale and grow, and for our remote sales reps in Chicago, Dallas and Dayton to have a place to work when they’re at HQ.”

With reported 2018 North American promotional product revenue of $60.6 million, Overture Promotions ranked 31st on Counselor’s latest list of the largest distributors in the industry. In 2018, the company grew year-over-year sales by 27%. A certified woman-owned business, Overture’s five-year average annual growth rate is 21%.

Overture said a key factor in its success has been its suite of in-house services, which in addition to promo product sourcing include graphic design, web development, on-site apparel decoration, kit assembly, packing, and domestic and international shipping. The firm said the customized webstores it builds for clients – stores that come with marketing support and detailed reporting – have driven sales growth.
