Kenfair Holds Vegas Show The Kenfair Asian Expo held its second annual show last Tuesday through Thursday, with 586 exhibitors filling 617 booths at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, according to the show’s Web site. This marks about a 45% jump in exhibitors from last year. Exhibitors came from a dozen Pacific Rim countries. Attendance figures weren’t released. Last year, 6,600
buyers attended the show. The Vegas Kenfair show has caused controversy because many in the promotional products industry say it helps connect distributors, or even corporate buyers, with Asian manufacturers. Kenfair hosts an Asia Expo in London in February and Hong Kong International Toys & Gifts Show in October.

Debbie Does Hurricane Help Last issue, we noted that Debbie Does Freight Inc. had sustained damage from Hurricane Charley, but was functioning with a skeleton crew and expected to be up and running in about a week. In the interim, owner Debbie Gordon requested donations from industry practitioners for materials Charley victims would find useful. In addition to a selection of ASI-logoed wearables and Counselor 50th anniversary flashlights from ASI, the donations are apparently coming in so rapidly, they’re overfilling DDF’s offices. To that end, Debbie’s asked that anyone sending further donations direct them to this address:
