Hasseman Marketing Acquires SoCal Distributor

Coshocton, OH-based Hasseman Marketing & Communications (asi/221824) announced Friday that it has acquired Irvine, CA-based Paparazzi Promotional Marketing (asi/528589). Financial terms of the acquisition were not released.

Hasseman Marketing Acquires SoCal Distributor

Per the deal, Hasseman Marketing will take over the logistical operations of Paparazzi’s business. Former Paparazzi owner Marty Hagerty, who founded the SoCal firm in 2011, will join Hasseman Marketing as an account executive, Hasseman Marketing CEO Kirby Hasseman told Counselor.

Going forward, Hagerty will go to market under the Hasseman brand name and ASI number. His focus will be sales and, according to a statement from Hasseman Marketing, the “creative side of growing our clients' business.”

“We are in growth mode and anytime we can add a rock star like Marty to the team, it’s a great day,” Hasseman told Counselor. “We feel like it not only gives us another great team member, but adding Marty also gives us added credibility in the industry. We are excited about partnering with him.”

In a statement, Hagerty echoed Hasseman’s positive sentiments.

“Hasseman Marketing is a thought leader in the industry and a leader in content marketing as well,” he said. “I am so excited to partner with them to increase our footprint and serve an even larger client base.”

For now, Hagerty is the only team member from Paparazzi that Hasseman Marketing is adding. Roles of leaders and employees at Hasseman Marketing remain unchanged as a result of the acquisition. “We have the human infrastructure to handle this change, so no additional hiring or changes will be needed at this time,” Hasseman told Counselor.

Hasseman Marketing provides marketing campaigns that include promotional products, video production, social media, and graphic design. "We grew 15% in 2016 -- our biggest year to date," Hasseman said to Counselor. "We are on track for a similar year in 2017, but hope that this acquisition will help us surpass those numbers."
