Top 40 distributor 4imprint (asi/197045) announced last week that it is building a 100,000 square foot addition to its distribution center in Oshkosh, WI. The company, which is also leasing an additional 25,000 square feet of office space for its headquarters in Oshkosh, said the expansion is fueled by rapid growth in its business.
“As a team, we are humbled by the strong customer demand we are experiencing and the loyalty our customers demonstrate,” said Kevin Lyons-Tarr, CEO of 4imprint and a member of the Counselor Power 50. “Our ongoing growth and these expansions, in particular, are a credit to our hard-working associates and their commitment to doing right by others every day.”
4imprint said that it expects to invest between $8 million and $9 million in the expansion project at the company’s distribution center. Ultimately, the additional space will help 4imprint keep pace with increased demand and provide support for 4imprint’s free promotional products sample programs, embroidered apparel offerings and distribution staff. The additional warehouse and headquarters space will also result in the company hiring an extra 150 people over the next three years in customer service, marketing, merchandising, art, embroidery, IT, accounting, and support functions.
“We are excited about what this means for our team, our company and the community,” Lyons-Tarr said. “This project provides a foundation for the next several years upon which our team can continue to build success.”
4imprint ranked last year as the third-largest distributor in the industry, and the company says it achieved North American sales of $399 million in 2014. It has nearly doubled its sales over the past five years.
