Proforma Names Piper as VP of Biz Development

Top 40 distributor Proforma (asi/300094) has announced the hiring of Chris Piper as vice president of business development. Prior to joining Proforma, Piper served in several other industry roles, including vice president of business development with Boundless (asi/143717), regional vice president with HALO Branded Solutions (asi/356000) and as director of business development with PPAI. In his new position, according to Proforma, Piper will help accelerate the organization’s growth – in part by coaching owners to maximize their business success.

“We are thrilled to have Chris Piper join Proforma’s management team,” said Proforma Founder Greg Muzzillo in a press release. “We believe Chris’s knowledge and experience will have an immediate impact on the growth of Proforma and our Owners.”

Piper has more than 20 years of experience helping independent sales professionals. Piper has shared his marketing and branding knowledge with companies like Nike and Intel, various Fortune 500 businesses and universities. “Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked with many industry distributors and suppliers and Proforma clearly stands head and shoulders above the rest,” Piper said. “Proforma has incredible strategic foresight and provides its owners and sales reps with the industry’s best suite of resources to maximize their success. I believe Proforma is the best choice for any distributor or sales rep looking to take his or her opportunity in the industry to the next level.”

Piper currently serves as chairman on the PPAI Public Relations and Advocacy committee. He’s also the Oregon Liaison for the Medal of Honor Character Development Program through the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and is a former president of the Northwest Promotional Marketing Association.
