Storm Creek Donates Merchandise for Charitable Event

Storm Creek (asi/89879) just made the holidays a little brighter on behalf of a well-known charitable organization.

The Eagan, MN-based promotional products supplier and certified Women’s Business Enterprise recently donated over $34,000 worth of merchandise, including jackets, vests and other outerwear items, to Big Brothers Big Sisters Twin Cities for the nonprofit’s Winter Picnic on Dec. 11.

Almost 80 pairs of “Bigs” and “Littles” (adult mentors matched up with children ages 5 through adolescence) attended the picnic, which featured activities such as s’more-making, an educational STEM truck, arts and crafts, visits by mascots from pro sports teams, and a Storm Creek pop-up shop where Littles could select two free outerwear items.

“Big Brothers Big Sisters is a key Storm Creek charity partner, and we were thrilled to support the free pop-up shop experience for this wonderful event,” said Teresa Fudenberg, CEO of Storm Creek. “Littles thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to pick out a new jacket or cozy item for themselves, plus select a gift or two for someone else.”

Over the past two months, Storm Creek has also supported Big Brothers Big Sisters and other large-scale charitable organizations with its annual warehouse sale at the company’s Eagan showroom. Additionally, customers could choose to donate 10% of their purchase total to one of Storm Creek’s charity partners.

Storm Creek is a 1% for the Planet partner and a member of the corporate philanthropy organization Minnesota Keystone Program, with a goal of donating $5 million to charity by 2030.
