He’ll be vice president of sales for HPG firms Origaudio, Handstands and Debco.

Top 40 supplier HUB Promotional Group (asi/61966) has announced its second major executive promotion in a week, with Alex Morin of its Debco (asi/48885) subsidiary rising to vice president of sales for HPG companies Origaudio (asi/75254), HandStands (asi/59525) and Debco.

“I am so excited to see Alex assume this larger HPG role, and know he is going to be an incredible asset to our distributor partners,” said Trina Bicknell, HPG’s senior vice president of sales. Morin will report to Bicknell.

Debco is one of the largest suppliers of hard goods in the Canadian promotional products industry. Morin has been with the firm since 2005. In that time, he has served as vice president of sales and marketing, executive vice president of sales and marketing and, of late, senior vice president of sales and marketing. His leadership has focused on growing sales globally.

“As an HPG team member, I’m most eager to share my passion and energy, while pursuing an unrelenting desire to learn and continuously improve,” Morin said in statement. “I believe in the company’s vision and am so honored to have a voice in how our organization will continue to deliver magic to our distributor partners and our team members alike.”

HPG acquired Debco in 2018. It was one of a number of high-profile acquisitions that HPG has made in recent years, including Origaudio and HandStands.

On Dec. 9th, HPG announced that former HandStands CEO Rodd Steuart has been promoted to chief operating officer for all of HPG.

HPG’s portfolio of companies now includes Hub Pen, Beacon, Best/Cooler, Debco, BCG, Origaudio and HandStands. With reported 2018 North American promotional product revenue of $197.8 million, HPG ranked 9th on Counselor’s latest list of the largest suppliers in the industry. The firm’s five-year average annual growth rate is 39% — the fastest among promo’s top 10 suppliers.
