I was outside hanging Christmas lights last week and for the first time this season my fingers went numb from the cold. A couple of things then came to my mind: Number one, I really should get some gloves. Number two, salespeople should definitely be thinking about winter promotions. Late January into early February is statistically the coldest time of the year in the U.S., so plan now to warm up your early 2016 sales. Enjoy these ideas!

Good Grip The Pitch: Some of you know I used to work as a TV reporter. I'll give you some inside info. Meteorologists get way too excited about snowstorms. They also love to give away free stuff on remotes. The Gripper Ice Scraper from The Magnet Group (asi/68507) is a perfect item to pitch to TV stations. The scraper features black PVC grip accents and ample room for a logo and tagline. Priced as low as $1.39 (R). The Bottom Line: An upgraded version of a useful product.
Get Stuffed The Pitch: What always brings a smile to a child's face? You guessed it – a stuffed animal. This eight inch winter penguin from Artistic Toy (asi/37122) makes for a fabulous prize at winter festivals. Or, it could be a great giveaway for daycare centers and preschools. Plus, the toy complies with all U.S. CPSIA requirements, so you can sell with confidence. Grab this stuffed animal for as low as $10.46 (S). The Bottom Line: A cute companion for any kid.
Keep It Classy The Pitch: Working outside in the cold is bad enough. Working outside without the right winter gear is worse. This sharp scarf, hat and glove set is ideal for parking attendants, doormen and bellhops who spend considerable time outside, but need to keep a uniform, professional look. Several colors are available, so you can match clients' branding needs. Order the set from Source Abroad by Prime (asi/88242) for as low as $8.35 (R). The Bottom Line: Don't compromise style for warmth.
Enjoy The Ride The Pitch: How do ski resorts attract people who don't ski? By offering snow tubing, of course. This PVC inflated snow tube from Adex International (asi/31959) comes in nine colors and can be customized with almost any logo. Pitch it to resorts and family fun centers. Priced as low as $31.429 (T). The Bottom Line: An attention-grabbing idea that'll help clients think differently.
