Oh boy, did we have fun at The ASI Show in Orlando! Flew back last night, but while I was there I twisted like a fool during the Peppermint Twist-off (we tried to break the world record for the most people doing the twist and we raised funds for Juvenile Diabetes research). I also enjoyed a very hot fashion show sponsored by industry suppliers (I have never seen people rock aprons like that). I visited the Wizardly World of Harry Potter, where I rode
The Forbidden Journey inside Hogwarts castle and screamed my little lungs out. You can see all the shenanigans in the video to your left. And, of course, I found some great new products just for you, my buddies. Enjoy this edition and send your feedback directly to: firstname.lastname@example.orgIt may be published in a future issue of Advantages magazine. Phone Home The Pitch: Here's a product I found in Orlando at the Advantages New Product Pavilion. (In fact, all the products in this issue were found in the Pavilion -- I love that Pavilion). It's from Aplus Stationery and Promotion (asi/30228). It's an eco-friendly, bamboo iPhone case. This is perfect for eco promotions, in addition to techie and communications-related promotions. Pricing starts at: one for $25-R. Email: email@example.com. The Bottom Line: Do bamboo.
Wear It Well The Pitch: At the Twist-off, I finally met Noelle Younk of Genius Promotions. She's adorable and an avid "Hot Deals" reader and I think she would think this product is a genius promotion. It's a wristband with an attached ballpoint pen from Brainchild USA (asi/41511). The supplier says that the "bracelet pen is very useful when you get a number during a party." Or, I say, when you give someone the wrong number just to get them off your back. These are fun for schools and special events. Pricing starts at: 150; $1.09-R. Click here: http://www.distributorcentral.com/. The Bottom Line: Writing style.
Blow It The Pitch: When I saw Pinnacle Designs' (asi/78140) new key tags, I thought they were the most adorable things. They've got key tags with attached compact mirrors (great for beauty clients), attached whistles (great for safety programs) and item BW-C, a key tag with an attached compass whistle and message tag (great for camping, hiking, auto programs, etc.) Pricing starts at: 300; $5.20-V. See it right here: http://www.pinnacledesigns.com/. The Bottom Line: Point them in the right direction.
Ready to Launch The Pitch: Much like the bracelet pen I mentioned above, this item fromBuztronics (asi/42963)is trés cool (I'm speaking French now?) and does double duty. Item 1045130 is The Locket Launcher. It's a wearable pendant necklace with a smart button. Unhook the pendant's cord from the back of the locket to reveal a micro USB. Then plug the USB into the PC and the locket will light up. When the user pushes the center of the locket, the preprogrammed website automatically launches. Pricing starts at: 100; $7.95-R. Seriously, you've got to check it out: http://www.buzline.com/ The Bottom Line: Put the locket in your pocket.
