Top 40 distributor Halo Branded Solutions (asi/356000) has acquired the business of Phoenix-based distributor Commotion Promotions (asi/166010). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Commotion Promotions sales team and key administrative staff have joined Halo as a result of the transaction. “Commotion Promotions is an extension of our strategy to partner with successful distributorships in key geographic markets,” said Marc Simon, CEO of Halo. “We are able to reward Karen and Ken [Kravitz] for building a strong business, while providing additional tools to their sales force.”

Operational and accounting responsibilities for Commotion will now transition to Halo’s Sterling, IL, offices, while the company’s four sales offices will now become Halo sales offices. Halo Branded Solutions ranked as the sixth-largest distributor in the industry last year, and the company totaled $196 million in North American ad specialty sales in 2013.
