Overture Promotions (asi/288473)
In just the last year, Amy Waldorf has tripled her sales, making her someone to watch not only at Overture Promotions (asi/288473), but in the entire industry. Like many, she was introduced to the promo business by a friend and she’s seized on the career opportunity in a big way. “I saw how cool the industry was and I loved the creative license I was given here at Overture,” she says. “My clients have become extensions of me – they’ve become my friends.”
A Cal Poly grad, Waldorf cut her teeth in sales and marketing at firms like RR Donnelley, before focusing on business development for a lead-generation company that was looking to expand in Europe. While abroad, Waldorf became quite the traveler – so if you’re looking for excursion tips, you know who to ask. “Croatia, Iceland and the Bordeaux region of France are some of my favorites,” she says. “But you can’t beat the Greek Isles.”
What else makes Waldorf interesting? Lots. She’s completed four marathons, is a working mom with a five-year-old daughter, and has a pug named Briscoe – named after the salty detective from Law & Order.
And while every salesperson wants to hit quotas and smash records, Waldorf’s main goal is much simpler – but pretty profound at the same time. “I want to make my daughter proud,” she says. No doubt, she already has.
