Words to Live By

ASI’s new Diversity and Inclusion blog is the latest initiative in a years-long effort to live up to the principles of fairness and inclusion at the heart of our company.

Here at ASI, we listen and grow all year long. We do not shirk from doing the hard work and will continue to include, and hear, as many different voices as possible.

But as we’ve learned, we can all do better – as a company and an industry. Here’s what we’ve accomplished at ASI to date and have planned for the near future – and beyond:

  • Reviving our Diversity and Inclusion Council with new members and activities geared toward our work-from-home situation, while strongly encouraging people of color and employees with diverse backgrounds to join.
  • A four-part series of discussions on racism and injustice, which 75% of polled employees agreed was a good use of their time.
  • The February 23 all-company discussion led by Dr. George James: “How to be an Ally at all Levels; Anti-racism and Beyond.”
  • Our annual Day ON of Service, volunteer and learning activities held in honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, now moved to the Fall.

Please join us in our continuing efforts toward real change, genuine understanding and the realization of our stated goals. Together, we can help shape a better world for all.

Equality.
Inclusion.
Understanding.
Awareness.
Respect.
Community.
