He Was 84
Ronald L. Cook, a former PPAI board member and vice chairman, died on May 10 following an extended illness. He was 84.
Born in Cedar Rapids, IA, and a graduate of Joliet Junior College, Cook was known as an industry leader in developing educational programs, creating and spearheading trade show break-out sessions as well as multi-day training seminars. In addition to his service with PPAI, Cook was one of the founders and a past president of the Specialty Advertising Association of New England.
Cook is survived by his wife, Emmy, sister, Raydene, and children, Pam, Paul, Carol, Claudine and Theodore. He was known as Opa by his nine grandchildren. Funeral services were held at The First Parish Congregational Church in Lebanon, ME.
