Econscious Apparel Partners With Broder
Company Known For Its Sustainable Apparel
California-based Econscious Apparel (asi/51656) announced today that it will partner with Counselor Top 40 supplier Broder Bros., Co. (asi/42090) to nationally distribute its full line. Starting this month, national distribution will allow Econscious, a company known for its sustainable apparel, to build on its regional gains by making its line widely accessible to a country-wide wholesale audience.
"This partnership marks the evolution of a long-standing and rich business relationship," said Steve Wegner, principal at Econscious. "As companies, we share many of the same values and long term goals – one of which is to increase the accessibility of sustainable apparel – and ultimately, to have a positive impact on the health of our planet."
For Broder, the partnership provides a new avenue for eco-friendly offerings. "Customers have communicated to us that there's a need, not only for eco-friendly products, but for eco-friendly brands as well," said Steve Valeri, vice president of marketing for Broder. "The Econscious brand, more so than any other, is that strong advocate for the environment."
Econscious products for 2013 will feature a total of 23 environmentally friendly and durable styles, ranging from basic T-shirts to fleece, hats and bags. With reported 2011 North American ad specialty revenues of $483.4 million, Counselor ranks Broder Bros. as the largest supplier in the industry.
