4imprint Reports 17% Sales Increase

Reached 88.4 Million Pounds ($137.7 Million)

4imprint GroupEngland-based 4imprint Group, the parent company of Counselor Top 40 distributor 4imprint (asi/197045), has announced that its overall sales rose 17% during the first half of 2012, reaching 88.4 million pounds ($137.7 million). The company also reported its direct marketing division increased its January through June revenues to 81.3 million pounds ($126.7 million), gaining 15% in year-over-year sales in Britain and 14% in the U.S. "The team continues to work hard to deliver great value for our customers," said Kevin Lyons-Tarr, president of 4imprint. "The first half is indicative of further progress in doing so."

In its reporting, 4imprint Group announced pre-tax profits grew by 50% from 1.6 million pounds to 2.4 million. Profit figures were aided by 4imprint's March sale of its Brand Addition business to a U.S.-based private equity firm for $37.6 million.

"The first half of this year has been a period of substantial positive change for the group," said John Poulter, 4imprint's chairman, in a statement. "We are well-positioned to take advantage of the growth opportunities presented by 4imprint direct marketing's large and highly fragmented market and, notwithstanding any significant macroeconomic changes to the markets it serves, the group remains on track for a continued good performance in the second half of the year."

Wisconsin-based 4imprint is ranked by Counselor as the fifth largest distributor in the industry, reporting 2011 North American ad specialty revenues of $224.5 million, an 18.1% year-over-year increase.
