Taylor Corporation Announces Two Acquisitions
Taylor Corporation Is Parent Company Of Two Top 40 Companies
In separate deals, Minnesota-based Taylor Corporation, the parent company of Counselor Top 40 supplier ADG Promotional Products (asi/97270) and Top 40 distributor Banyan Incentives (asi/342382), has acquired Texas firms Venture Encoding and CardsDirect. Financial terms of the purchases were not disclosed.
According to a statement, Venture will be merged into Taylor affiliate Corporate Graphics Direct Marketing Solutions, forming a new firm called Venture Solutions, Inc. Meanwhile, CardsDirect will maintain its brand name and current website, but will effectively become part of Taylor affiliate The Occasions Group.
Venture Encoding, a 40-year-old company, provides loan servicing communications and marketing to large financial organizations. "As Taylor continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of its customers, Venture aligns very well with our corporate growth strategy centered on customer communications in compliance-driven markets such as financial services," said Glen Taylor, CEO of Taylor Corporation. "We will build upon Venture's legacy of market leadership and deep market knowledge to grow further."
CardsDirect, which was founded in 1998, offers custom-printed cards and stationery through catalogs and the Internet. "As The Occasions Group continues efforts to grow in personalized business greetings, CardsDirect offers a full suite of designs, from corporate holiday cards to general occasion cards," said Mike Provenzano, president of The Occasions Group. "We are looking forward to the synergies we can create and together growing this area of our business."
