PSI Announces New Trade Show
Will Target An Audience Of End-Customers
Europe's Promotional Product Service Institute (PSI) has announced the development of a new trade show called PSI Promotion World, a joint partnership between Reed Exhibitions and the Deutsche Messe AG. A contract outlining the new show – which will target an audience of end-customers – was signed this week in Hannover, Germany.
"This cooperation opens up a unique opportunity, especially for the promotional products trade, to present itself professionally within the environment of the most important industrial trade fairs worldwide, to gain new business customers and to make better known the strengths of the promotional article and its effect on the marketing mix," said Michael Freter, managing director of PSI.
The three-day promotional products show will be incorporated in even-numbered years into the Hannover Trade Fair, a large industrial event that annually draws 250,000 people. In odd-numbered years, the show will be part of CeBIT, an international computer expo.
"By aligning itself to the final consumer, PSI Promotion World will provide a suitable platform for new business for the whole of the promotional products industry and has the objective of encouraging customers from the trade to employ promotional products as a marketing instrument," said Dr. Jochen Köckler, a member of the board of management of Deutsche Messe AG.
The new show will not affect the long-standing PSI Show, which will continue to take place in Dusseldorf.
