Jetline Recalls Power Adapters
Possibility Of Overheating
Supplier firm Jetline (asi/63344) announced today that it is recalling approximately 31,000 power adapters that the company says were given away as trade show promotions nationwide between October 2013 and April 2014.
On a note posted to the supplier’s website, it said: “Jetline, out of an abundance of caution, has chosen to conduct a voluntary recall of the subject product due to the possibility of overheating. Though the potential issue has been tracked to a very small subset of the overall production run of the item, we have decided to take a very conservative path in conducting this voluntary recall.”
Jetline says the product in question is SKU: IT108, USB to AC Power Adapter, and the items were manufactured in China. The company says it has received one report of a consumer who was burned on their hand from the product, and Jetline says consumers should immediately stop using the product and throw them away.
“We apologize to our customer for this inconvenience,” Jetline said in the note on its website, “and hope that you understand that we have made this voluntary decision as part of our commitment to providing safe products to you and your customers.”
