Bergman Incentives Acquires Artwears Unlimited
Financial Terms Were Not Released
Omaha, NE-based distributor firm Bergman Incentives (asi/137955) announced last week that it has purchased Artwears Unlimited (asi/124960), another Omaha distributor that specializes in branded apparel. Financial terms of the transaction were not released, but the deal was effective as of April 15, 2014 and it now gives Bergman a total of 23 employees.
“The talent of Artwears Unlimited will be a terrific addition to the services Bergman Incentives offers its clients, “ says David Gilinsky, president of Bergman Incentives. “We are excited to include additional production capabilities with the products Bergman Incentives currently provides.”
Gilinsky told Counselor that he believes the acquisition will help to make Bergman a larger and more efficient business. “The addition of an in-house graphics department as well as in-house embroidery allows us to be increasingly agile and responsive to our growing client base,” Gilinsky said. “We expect the acquisition to add nearly $1 million in revenues over the next year.
In business since 1987, Artwears Unlimited’s production facility includes wearable items such as printed and embroidered clothing and accessories. The companies believe the deal will benefit both sides, as it matches production capabilities with customer needs. “Bergman Incentives’ reputation for quality customer support and reliable e-commerce solutions are a perfect pairing for Artwears Unlimited,” said Gina Gottsch, president of Artwears Unlimited. “In turn, our facility will increase Bergman Incentives’ efficiency and reduce production lead times.”
Bergman Incentives, which won Counselor’s Family Business of the Year award in 2013, has been family-owned and operated since 1888.
