Cintas Signs Partnership Deal With Touchstone

Deal Is A Long-Term Contractual Relationship Effective Immediately

Top 40 distributor firm Cintas (asi/162167) has signed an alliance partnership deal with Mason, OH-based Touchstone (asi/345631). The deal, which is a long-term contractual relationship that is effective immediately, calls for Touchstone to begin working with Cintas to service its enterprise promotional clients. While Cintas will continue to keep its ASI number and serve some of its clients with promotional items, Touchstone will now work with Cintas to manage the company’s promotional marketing relationships.

“We’re very excited about this new partnership,” Derek Block, president of Touchstone, told Counselor in an exclusive interview. “Cintas had been searching for a partner in the industry for more than a year, and we’re glad they chose Touchstone. For us, it opens up many opportunities to serve the Cintas customer base that’s looking for more comprehensive promotional campaigns.”

Block said that Touchstone will be working with Cintas to evaluate the promotional needs of its customer base. “Our focus is on supporting Cintas and its clients in their core promotional product campaigns,” Block said, adding that no Cintas employees are expected to join Touchstone as a result of this deal. “We’re thrilled with the new relationship with Cintas and the opportunities that it poses,”

Cintas ranks as the eighth-largest distributor in the industry, with estimated annual North American ad specialty sales of $160 million. Touchstone reports 2011 North American ad specialty revenues of $30.5 million.
