Norm Hullinger Takes Over As Interim CEO
As first reported in a Breaking News Alert this morning, Counselor Top 40 supplier Broder Bros. (asi/42090) has announced that Tom Myers is no longer the company's CEO, effective immediately. Norm Hullinger, the apparel supplier's chief operating officer, has taken the title of interim CEO while the company's board commences a search for a new CEO. A spokesperson told Counselor today that Broder’s board expects the search for a new CEO to be completed within a few months.
Norm Hullinger joined Broder in 2003 as vice president of operations and was named executive vice president and chief operating officer in February 2009. Prior to being promoted to interim CEO, Hullinger was responsible for all distribution center and call center operations for Broder as well as information technology, purchasing and inventory management. Previously, Hullinger was senior vice president of operations of UBID, an online retailer, and a vice president at Yahoo.
Broder Bros., the parent company to the Alpha Shirt (asi/34408), Broder (asi/42090), and NES (asi/72808) brands, is the largest supplier in the ad specialty market. It ranks number one on the Counselor Top 40, after reporting 2011 North American promotional products sales of $483.4 million, a 31% increase over 2010.
