Oobe Merges With Mail Sort
Financial Terms Of Agreement Were Not Disclosed
Apparel supplier Oobe, Inc. (asi/75110) has merged with Atlanta-based direct mail firm Mail Sort, the companies have announced. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The merger creates three separate divisions, each of which will eventually operate under the Oobe brand name.
"This has been an incredible year for Oobe that has presented us with exciting opportunities," said Oobe founder and co-CEO Tom Merritt. "The merger with Mail Sort opens additional doors for business growth."
Merritt and co-CEO of Oobe Mike Pereyo will retain their current titles and will manage the three operating divisions. Mail Sort CEO Butch Floyd will direct the organization's Atlanta operations and has been named Oobe's chairman of the board.
"For more than two years Oobe has supplied Mail Sort with apparel for its promotional products business and in that time we've found many commonalities in our operations and corporate cultures," said Floyd. "Once we started talking about how we might more closely align our businesses, it became evident that there was tremendous potential for growth and things fell into place quite nicely."
In addition to its deal with Mail Sort, Oobe has announced that in the spring of 2013 the company will move its corporate headquarters to a 14,000 sq. ft. facility in Greenville, SC. "Our entire team has never been more energized.
