EBSCO Creative Concepts Acquires Concept Promotions
Financial Terms Were Not Disclosed
Alabama-based EBSCO Creative Concepts (ECC) (asi/185750), a division of Top 40 firm EBSCO Industries Inc., has announced the purchase of Concept Promotions Inc. (CPI) (asi/166243). Financial terms of the deal, made public this week, were not disclosed. CPI will retain its name and office in Daphne, AL, giving ECC a greater presence in areas like Mobile, Fairhope, Spanish Fort, and the Gulf Coast. “We at ECC are excited to add CPI as the first of our planned subsidiaries,” said Trey Schaefer, vice president and general manager of ECC.
Founded in 2001, CPI is a five-person firm that serves clients throughout Alabama. Per the agreement, CPI President Pam Brown will become ECC’s regional sales manager. “This is an exciting opportunity for us and helps us strengthen our position in the promotional products market,” said Brown. “ECC’s buying power helps us bring far more to our customers than we have ever been able to offer.”
Ranked by Counselor as the 22nd largest supplier in the industry, EBSCO Industries reported 2013 North American ad specialty sales of $66.4 million. Its holdings include both Vitronic Promotional Group (asi/93990) and Crown Products (asi/47700).
