St. Regis Crystal Acquires The Martin Company

In a deal finalized this week, St. Regis Crystal (asi/84592) has announced the acquisition of Waxahachie, TX-based supplier The Martin Company (asi/68915). Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. "This acquisition presents tremendous opportunities for both companies," says Richard Firkser, president and CEO of St. Regis Crystal. "The Martin Company has spent 22 successful years developing its creative, innovative and technical skills. St. Regis complements these skills with superior customer service, huge production capacity and the structural and financial backbone to really grow."

Jan Martin, cofounder of The Martin Company, has been appointed vice president of sales for her firm, which will retain its ASI number. All contact information for The Martin Company, including phone numbers and e-mail addresses, will remain unchanged. "We plan to maintain a sales and marketing office in Dallas, with fulfillment of orders out of St. Regis's Indianapolis facility. I am very excited about our new catalog, new Web site, and of course, all the great new products," Martin says.

Founded in 1999, the St. Regis Group supplies awards, recognition products and corporate gifts. Besides The Martin Company, St. Regis Group also owns Etching Industries (asi/52770), St. Regis USA (asi/84592) and St. Regis Canada (asi/84595).
