Brown & Bigelow Acquires JSA Promos
Financial Terms Were Not Disclosed
Expanding its presence in Florida, Counselor Top 40 distributor Brown & Bigelow (asi/148500) has acquired Jacksonville Specialty Advertising (JSA) (asi/232850). Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. "It was time to partner with a national distributor to support our next stage of growth," said Scott Petersen, president of JSA Promos. "We chose Brown & Bigelow because their unique business model will allow us to maintain our identity and to support our sales executives locally."
According to the agreement, JSA Promos will maintain its Florida offices and Petersen will manage the local Brown & Bigelow division. JSA Promos' order processing and supplier relations efforts will also continue to be handled in Jacksonville.

Ranked as the 27th largest distributor in the industry by Counselor, Brown & Bigelow reported 2012 North American ad specialty sales of $60.8 million, an increase of 0.5% over 2011.
