He Was 61
John T. White, the owner of Dallas-based Optigraphics (asi/75155), has died from multiple myeloma. He was 61.
Born in McKinney, TX, White excelled academically as a young man, attending Harvard University and later earning a law degree from Southern Methodist University. After he graduated law school, he founded the firm of White, Cox and Larsen. Following a company merger, White shifted careers and began working in the printing business.
Known by friends for his energy and enthusiasm, White had many hobbies. He was an accomplished gourmet cook, loved playing basketball at his local gym and was practiced at woodworking.
White is survived by his mother Peggy, his wife Nan, children John, Jr., Kathryn, Thomas, James, Nicholas and Timothy, four brothers and six grandchildren.
