La Jolla Sea Caves &
Ecological Reserve Kayak Tour
One of the best ways to explore San Diego is to get out on the water and paddle a kayak. Anyone can enjoy kayaking from their very first outing. While you can kayak virtually anyplace along the San Diego coast. Protected from the brunt of the summer swells, La Jolla Shores is an ideal launching point to explore kelp beds, sea caves and sea lion colonies.
The La Jolla Sea Caves is one of our more popular tours, and for good reason. With no experience needed, you will kayak the La Jolla sea caves and ecological reserve, which boasts and amazing array of scenery and wildlife you can’t find anywhere else in San Diego. As you paddle alongside your expert naturalist guide, chances are you will see one or more of the following: Sea Lions, Dolphins, Harmless leopard sharks, Harbor Seals and Bat Rays.
We’ll launch from La Jolla Shores, kayak through the incredible rock formations and caves (if conditions permit), through the kelp forests and wildlife hot spots, and cap it all off with a kayak surf ride back to the beach. San Diego’s mild climate makes kayaking a great activity any time of the year.
