Two
Suppliers Resolve Lawsuit
Chocolate
Chocolate (asi/44897)
and Chocolate Inn Ltd. (asi/44900)
have successfully resolved a
copyright infringement
lawsuit between them. The lawsuit,
instituted by Chocolate Chocolate
in U.S. District Court, Western
district/Washington last year,
alleged that Chocolate Inn copied
eight original bar-wrapper designs
from Chocolate Chocolate, and
offered them to distributors.
This, claimed Chocolate Chocolate,
constituted copyright/trademark
violation, trading on another’s
creative efforts and deliberately
attempting to confuse distributors.
Under terms of the settlement,
Chocolate Inn agreed to pay Chocolate
Chocolate $25,000, as well as
refrain from offering the designs
in question.

Financial News reports that
since September
8th, more than 200 employees
of Cintas Corp. (asi/162167)
affected by Hurricane Katrina
have received direct aid/support
via the firm’s "Adopt
a Cintas Family Program." The
affected employees are from
the company's operations in
New Orleans and Gulfport, MS.
The program is part of Cintas’ “Operation:
Cintas Cares” initiative,
which gives 30,000 Cintas employees
the opportunity to work together
locally to help fellow employees
with items such as care packages,
photos and letters, rent payments,
furniture, clothing, school
supplies, personal hygiene
products, etc. Donations will
continue until all adopted
Cintas families are back on
their feet.

two local distributorships,
