ASB Acquires Portland Sales Team
Vol. 901
March 13, 2012
Counselor Top 40 distributor American
Solutions for Business (ASB, asi/120075) announced last week that it has
acquired a sales group from Portland, OR.
The team, lead by Kevin Welch, includes six salespeople and three support
staffers. This group was originally part of American Eagle Graphics, a west
coast business that was founded in 1985. Financial terms of the agreement were
not disclosed.
“We look forward to maintaining the strong relationships
that are already in place while providing new products and services through
American’s vast network of vendors,” said Welch, in a statement.
For ASB, this deal completes a 12-month period in which it
has grown its sales force significantly through acquisitions. In fact, the
distributor firm now has more than 500 salespeople, an increase of 11% over the
past year. “Because of our significant investment in technology, ASB is able to
support rapid growth,” said Larry Zavadil, founder
and CEO of ASB. “We are aggressively
approaching the marketplace looking for sales associates who wish to control
their destiny and distributorship owners wishing to sell, transition or grow
their sales team’s volume.”
ASB says that its annual sales, including print and
promotional products, now stand at $200 million. In the ad specialty market,
ASB increased its revenues by 1% in 2011 to reach $97.7 million. |
