Ennis Acquires Print Company

Counselor Top 40 supplier Ennis (asi/52493) announced yesterday that it has acquired Printgraphics Inc. Printgraphics has locations in Vandalia, OH and Nevada, IA, both of which will continue producing their current products and services. The company’s president, Paul Curry, will remain in his role, and Printgraphics will now operate as a business unit under the Ennis umbrella.

"Ennis is one of the largest and most highly successful printing resellers in the industry,” said Curry. “The acquisition of Printgraphics by Ennis will ensure the continued growth of the company into the future by allowing us to take advantage of their vast network of suppliers and economic strength."

Printgraphics is a wholesale manufacturer of integrated document solutions. As part of the deal with Ennis, Printgraphics will maintain its name and retain all of its employees. "We are very happy to have Printgraphics join the Ennis organization,” said Keith Walters, chairman, president and CEO of Ennis and a member of the Counselor Power 50. “As we have done with our other acquisitions, Printgraphics' customers will see no change in their daily interaction with Printgraphics."

Ennis, which includes Alstyle Apparel (asi/34817), is the fifth-largest supplier in the ad specialty market, reporting $283 million in 2010 North American ad specialty revenues.
