Vol. 830
July 5, 2011
Boxercraft (asi/41325) announced
today that it has purchased the assets of Jones & Mitchell Inc., a
wholly-owned subsidiary of Augusta Sportswear Holdings Inc. (asi/37461).
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jessica
Levine, a Boxercraft spokeswoman, said there are no
plans to relocate Overland Park, KS-based Jones & Mitchell. "The asset
purchase by Boxercraft will enable all operations to
continue without interruption or disruption to the benefit of the customers
served by Jones & Mitchell," Boxercraft,
based in Atlanta, GA,
said in a statement.
The management team at Jones & Mitchell, including
President Donna Hansen, will remain on board. No layoffs or staff additions are
currently planned, Levine confirmed. "We look forward to working with
Donna and the strong team of leaders at Jones & Mitchell as we build our
plans for the future together," said Charles Sutlief,
Boxercraft's CEO.
Founded in 1985, Jones & Mitchell designs and
manufactures decorated apparel for markets that include college, travel,
military and retail. "The Jones & Mitchell apparel and industry
leading art and graphics are an exciting addition to complement Boxercraft's product line and decoration offering,"
said Sutlief. |
