PPAI To Induct Ford & Kiewiet Into Hall Of Fame

(8/12/2014)

Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) announced yesterday that Fran Ford, president of Castelli North America (asi/44305), and Paul Kiewiet, executive direction of the Michigan Promotional Professionals Association, will be the organization’s 2015 Hall of Fame inductees.

“It is a great privilege to recognize such an exceptional pair of honorees and celebrate their contributions and accomplishments to the promotional products industry,” said Paul Bellantone, president and CEO of PPAI. “These incredibly generous and gifted professionals have created some of the most distinguished and influential work in our history. Their legacies are indelible and timeless, and their leadership will continue to influence and embolden future generations in this industry.”

Ford, who has worked in the ad specialty market for more than 38 years, served as the Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF) chair from 2002 to 2003 and as a PPEF board trustee from 2000 to 2004. “I cannot begin to describe the wave of emotions I have felt since being notified of my selection to the PPAI Hall of Fame,” Ford said. “I am truly honored to stand with all of the pioneers who have shaped our industry and have a place in our Hall of Fame and proud to be a part of the legacy in the years to come.”

Kiewiet, founder of distributor firm Promotion Concepts (asi/300545), has a long history in the industry, as well, having served as a speaker and consultant in the market. He also held the PPAI chairman of the board position from 2007 to 2008. “I am truly humbled and excited to receive this incredible honor,” said Kiewiet. “I love this industry and have been touched and inspired by so many wonderful people who give so much for so many. This honor means so much to me.”

Ford and Kiewiet will be inducted to the PPAI Hall of Fame in January, during the 2015 PPAI Expo in Las Vegas.

Making You Money: What ASI is all about.

Promotional products, also known as ad specialties, make up a $20.5 billion dollar industry and are used by virtually every business in America. Why? Items like mugs, pens and t-shirts are memorable and provide a better cost per impression for advertisers than almost every major marketing effort like prime time TV, magazines and radio.

With so many businesses buying ad specialties there is a huge opportunity for professionals looking to make great money running a promotional products distributorship. It’s easy and inexpensive to get started and you can work from home.
