FAQs

My products are already on ESP® Online, why should I advertise?
Advertising on ESP Online gives you the unique opportunity to catch distributors’ attention while they search for products.  Advertising on ESP Online also builds name recognition by getting your company, line name, or logo seen by 120,000 distributor salespeople at the point of purchase.

What kind of reporting do I receive?
You can request a log-in for your delivery reports through your Sales Rep or your ESP Online Advertising Coordinator.  This log-in allows you to pull reports on number of impressions and click-throughs each of your campaigns, categories, keywords, and/or creatives has received.  Also through your Sales Rep, you can also receive a report on the number of times distributors have viewed your products in ESP Online and used them in CenterStage presentations.

How does the billing work?
At the end of each advertising month, your number of impressions are calculated and invoiced.  You are billed only for the amount your ad appears on ESP Online with a minimum of $50/month.  January’s number of impressions is calculated at the beginning of February.  February’s bill is invoiced at the beginning of March, and so on.  December is billed the last week of December, so the last week of December will be rolled into January’s bill sent out in February.

What is an impression?
An impression is a view of your banner ad.  1,000 impressions equals 1,000 times your banner ad was viewed.

What does “CPM” mean?
CPM means cost per thousand.  If your CPM is $75, then you’ll be billed $75 for every thousand impressions of your banner ad.

What makes a good banner ad?
A good banner ad will include some or all of the following: ASI number, logo, brief contact information (i.e. phone number and/or web address), select product images, and select tag lines or a brief description of a special offer.  Copy should be very direct.  The more copy on the banner, the smaller the text size has to be, which makes the copy more difficult to read.  Your banner ads should have a similar look and feel to your other marketing materials (such as your website, sales sheet, email blasts, etc.) This will help provide corporate branding making you more recognizable in the industry.

Can I have an animated banner ad?
Yes.  We allow both static and animated banner ads.  Animation can be done with an animated GIF or Flash.  An animated GIF can be three frames and either freeze on the final frame or loop.

Who can help me create an ad?
If you are unable to create your banner ads, ASI offers help from our design team at no additional charge for static or animated GIF ads.  We can create a Flash ad for a flat $400 prep fee per creative.  You send us marketing materials, copy, a logo and a couple product numbers from ESP, and we can design it for you.

Can I update my ad once it’s running?
We encourage you to update your ad creative regularly to keep your promotion fresh and appealing.

Can I link my banner to my products in ESP?
Yes.  We can link to all of your products or specific products associated by categories, keywords, price ranges, or product numbers.  If you prefer, you can also link your ad to your website.
