Reproduction
Please provide a previously printed sample of your
ad or SWOP standard color proof to ensure that files will
print
correctly. Be advised that although we will make every effort
to reproduce the colors desired, duplication cannot be guaranteed.
Due to a difference in presses, inks, and papers, what is
printed in one publishing plant cannot be duplicated in another.
ROP 4-color ads are printed in process inks only. Any ads
requiring five (5) or more colors will be quoted
on request.
Customer Supplied Disks
The Prepress Department accepts 3.5-inch floppy disks, CDs,
1 or 2 GB Iomega Jaz Disks and 100 or 250 MB Iomega ZIP
disks. All disks must be formatted for the Macintosh and
contain all the information and graphic files. Files must
be compatible with QuarkXpress 5.0; Photoshop 7.0; Illustrator
10; Freehand 9.0; Pagemaker 6.5. We also accept Microsoft
Word 6.0 and WordPerfect 6.0 for copy only. Any files using
Microsoft Word or WordPerfect will be reformatted to our
system. The disks should not only contain all the necessary
TIFF (Tagged Image File Format) or EPS (Encapsulated PostScript)
Files (used for photos or logos) but also the fonts – both
printer and screen.
E-mail or FTP files
We accept files via e-mail and our FTP site. We request that
any files sent digitally have the company name/ASI number
and publication information for our reference, and be compressed
before transmission. Files up to 10 MB may be sent to artwork@email.asicentral.com.
To
access our FTP site, you need the following information:
Host: art.asicentral.com
Username: artwork
Password: images
Note: All files must be accompanied by a hard copy of the
job. If the page is 4-color, a SWOP standard color proof
must accompany the file. If we do not receive a proof of
color and copy, ASI will make a color proof of your ad. While
we will make every effort to ensure the quality of your ad,
we cannot guarantee accuracy without a supplied
color proof.
If digitized art, retouching or color correction is required
on supplied files, the client will be billed at the rate
of $220 per hour.
Special Positioning: Special Positioning is limited to 12x
advertisers. There is a $175 additional charge for all Special
Positioning Requests.
