Privacy and Security

We are committed to insuring the Privacy and Security of all information provided to us by our subscribers. We understand data entered into ASItransact .com is important business information and we will protect that information with the same concern and safeguards as our own corporate data. We will not disclose specific order information to unauthorized third parties and, to that end, we have implemented security measures to protect the loss, misuse or alteration of the data under our control.

ASItransact.com's transaction site can only be accessed with the use of a password issued to authorized users. Only the principles of subscriber companies, their designated administrators and ASItransact.com system administrators can create additional log-ons. Subscribers to the system can only access information and orders for their specific organization. While suppliers and distributors have access the same order within the system, each side only sees the information necessary to complete an order and cannot access another company's confidential information (such as end buyer pricing). ASItransact.com utilizes Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to encrypt all order transactions and a digital certificate issued by VeriSign, an established leader in the industry.

As a data processor, AsiTransact processes and uses personal information (for instance, billing/shipping/contact information) only pursuant to the instructions from our Client for our services. AsiTransact will not use or share, either within AsiTransact or with a third party, any personal information collected for our own direct marketing purposes. However, we reserve the right to analyze and report usage and trend statistics that do not specifically disclose client or client controlled personal data.

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.

Communications

Customer Service
We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users’ wishes.

Service Announcements
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature.

Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with an appropriate law enforcement investigation, current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process served on our Web site, or as required by law.
