TREVOSE, PA – December 18, 2007 - Advertising Specialty Institute®, the largest media and marketing organization serving the advertising specialty industry, today launched a product data service to integrate ESP Online supplier data into distributor’s technology platform and online stores to improve efficiency, reduce order errors and increase profits.
The new data service from ASI allows distributors to integrate the most accurate product information from suppliers and ESP Online directly into their own online shopping programs, storefront Websites and company computer systems, providing clients with the most current product information and high-quality product images.
Three unique data service plans are available for distributors who would like to:
- Integrate promotional products supplier data into their own servers for use with fulfillment systems, shopping carts, or search engine optimization programs
- Download product data from ASI for complete integration with existing computer systems and online company stores
- Show customers only products from select suppliers or preferred suppliers
Data provided is the same trusted information that powers ESP Online and LogoMall, and is the most accurate, up-to-date product data available in the advertising specialty industry. A dedicated team of more than 70 professionals at ASI confirms data, performs modifications and adds products and information every day.
“No one else in the industry can match the integrity and dependability of our product data,” said Timothy M. Andrews, president and chief executive officer of ASI. “Using ASI supplier data on your own Website or in your internal technology platform will reduce order errors, cut time clearing up product information discrepancies, and leave more time for selling and building relationships with prospects. We also provide the best product images and your clients will no doubt be impressed.”
“Industry distributors are reviewing computer systems that run their businesses and are either upgrading their older legacy structures or are making their current systems work more efficiently,” said Heather DiPrato, vice president of distributor services at ASI. “They are keenly interested in how integrating ASI’s product data into their own systems can reduce multiple keying of orders, improve order accuracy and boost office efficiency.”
Revenues for suppliers and demand for decorator services will also increase as products from suppliers are featured on more distributor Websites and online stores that are fed by ASI product information.
ASI supplier product data is currently available and ASI continues to develop technology in this area. Plans for additional products and services to benefit distributors and suppliers will be market-ready in coming months.
